When I get to 14 hours, if I don’t have my coffee and MCT, I’m a little hangry and sometimes I have to break my fast before my 16-hour goal. The take-home: if you’re a woman, go easy and listen to your body…maybe stick to 12 or 14 hours. Unfortunately, most of the available studies on the benefits of fasting have been conducted on men.
